Your Grandfather's Road continues to hunt for actors and actresses! Whether you're a new talent, or an established actor/actress, we would like to audition you.

BACKGROUND

The title of this feature-length film is "Your Grandfather's Road", and it will be directed by Manesh Nesaratnam. Language: Malay (main) with some English, Mandarin and Tamil.

WHAT IS THE STORY ABOUT

Five characters find themselves thrust onto the road, criss-crossing the country chasing for revenge, love and redemption. Ashraf, unjustly deported on the night before a show-down with his future-in-laws needs desperately to get back into Malaysia; Rafiq, a ruthless snatch thief, finds a note that compels him to drop everything to save an unknown girl's life; Illya, makes her final journey to Penang to confront her sexual aggressor-uncle; Tanya, being pursued by the government for defaulting her study loan needs to exit the country ASAP; Alex, a heartless corporate rat-racer suddenly discovers the existence of his own conscience when a girl gets raped because of him. Set during Hari Raya and across the backdrop of the picturesque Malaysian landscape, the characters have 24 hours to make up their minds: change the course of their lives forever or die.

REAL LIFE, FUN-SIZED.
Step aside SNL, Little Britain and MADtv! indicinelive! (in-DEE-see-nee-live-!) is klpac's brand-new sketch comedy premise, parodying the ofttimes crazy society that we live in. Featuring an ensemble of serious comic writers and players every episode, indicinelive! features familiar characters in even more familiar situations, with a few musical numbers thrown in too! indicinelive! is, essentially, a generous serving of how we see the world in fun-sized pieces.

Directed by klpac's director-in-residence Kelvin Wong, indicinelive! opened its 2010 season in April, playing to packed houses with after-requests for second and third helpings.

And so we're back with Episode Two for Season 2010!

SHOWNIGHTS: July 21st - 25th @ 8.30 pm

A tense truce holds between the Montagues and Capulets after the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Benvolio, Romeo's best friend, is in love with Juliet's cousin, Rosaline, but she is bent on revenge. Set in a post-apocalyptic world in the near future, After Juliet probes into the aftermath of Shakespeare's masterpiece – will history repeat itself?

Based on an original idea by Keira Knightley, After Juliet is written by her mother, the award-winning playwright Sharman Macdonald, and continues to be performed by youth theatre groups from all around the world.

After Juliet will be directed by klpac's resident director, Kelvin Wong and will play at klpac's Pentas 2 for a total of 6 shows from July 15th – 18th 2010.
