Suitably motivated actors are invited to participate in a CASTING WORKSHOP for the upcoming production of Franz Kafka's METAMORPHOSIS, based on the adaptation for the stage by Steven Berkoff.
ALL ACTORS who would like to be considered for inclusion in the cast are required to be present and participate for the duration of this CASTING WORKSHOP which will be held on the 9th May, from 10am until 6pm, at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre, KLPAC. Actors who are unable to attend this workshop shall not be considered for roles in the production.
Previous applicants who have not received any reply need not re-apply.
This production involves a high level of detailed, rigourous physical and mental work which demands a great deal of commitment, discipline and precision.
You will be coaxed outside what is comfortable, forbidden to do what is easy, dared to risk what is frightening and actively encouraged to fail in spectacular ways; all necessary elements in the pursuit of excellence.
You may request a copy of Kafka's original short-story for you to
acquaint yourself with the subject matter, and also the proposed
rehearsal/production Schedule, by emailing me at <chris@...>
For actors to qualify for consideration they must also be fully prepared to attend all BMX workshops (Theatrical Biomechanics) leading up to rehearsals, and all rehearsals scheduled.
Please respond to this invitation before the 5th May to be included in this CASTING WORKSHOP.
