THE STORY:

Matilda and her puppets, Pierrot, Columbine and Harlequin, are trying to save the animals in Papa Gorgonzola’s circus from their life of misery. With a plot that takes the audience on an imaginative journey from Italy via Africa (to capture the fabled “Gorilla in the Mist”) to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, the knockabout antics of the Commedia dell’ Arte characters – as well as Punch and Judy – provide plenty of fun and excitement.

Matilda will need the resourcefulness of the Malaysian animals and birds she meets as well as the help of the people of Kuala Lumpur if she is going to be able to give the circus animals their dignity and if they’re all going to take part in the Brickfields' 'Carnival of Freedom'.

A sense of madness greets Vince and his girl-friend as they arrive at the squalid farmhouse of Vince's hard-drinking grandparents, who seem to have no idea who he is.

Nor does his father, Tilden, a hulking former All-American football player, or his uncle, who has lost one of his legs to a chain saw.

Only the memory of an unwanted child, buried in an undisclosed location, can hope to deliver this family from its sin.

Crave presents four characters, or perhaps four aspects of human nature set in an unnamed city.

Two men and two women, each only having a letter for a name, are linked through various relationships in which the ferocity of craving
someone, or something, is palpable.

British playwright, Sarah Kane paints four portraits of the turbulence of the human heart as these four individuals navigate through love, loss and desire.
